The name Blue Meanie is applied to two different mushrooms: a strain of Psilocybe cubensis and the species of Panaeolus cyanescens which is considered the โ€œrealโ€ Blue Meanie. Ours is of the P. cubensis type.

This mushroom is thought to have been collected from Australia. It fruits prolifically and easily bruises bluish if handled. It is considered among the most potent P. cubensis strains.
